Gereral Info

 Wedgefield station 7 covers the western portion of Sumter County. We operate an engine, tanker, service truck, and a brush unit.  We also recieve a rescue truck from the city of Sumter on all motor vehicals accidents with a report on entrapment. The county also has several spare trucks to use if  the need arises.

Response Coverage

Structural -  3 Engines, 3 Tanker,  a Service Unit and Ladder Company if deemed nessecary.

Brush - A Brush Truck and Tanker

Brush w/exposures - 3 Brush, 3 Engines, 3 Tankers, and a Service Unit if required

Motor vehical accident - 1 Engine, 1 Service unit

Motor vehical accident with entrapment/pin in - *1 Engine, 1 Service unit, 1 Heavy Rescue.  *an additional Engine may respond if victims must be flown out.

Alarms - Primarily first due Engine Company, however additional units may respond dependent upon type of alarm, location and time of day.
